week five

The Presentation

Before Monday, we set up a time when we would all practise for the presentation. We agreed on a time using a simple questionnaire and created a google meet so we wouldn't have to travel.

On the actual presentation date, we also met up early to make sure we have everything and are prepared. The presentation itself went really well although we did have a technical issue at the end of it this can always happen. Overall I really enjoyed working with this group since everyone was working together and we collaborated as well as communicated really well with each other

week four

Preparing for the presentation

Our presentation is next week so we are just putting together the final pieces. The biggest challenge is definitely to present everything in just 5min. We have a lot of slides and are trying to include everyone and everything. Planned is that everyone talks about what they were working on but also knows about everyone else's part. We shortened the key points in the presentation as much as we could so it wouldn't distract from our talking.

Week three

Putting everything together

Unfortunately, I missed this class but was able to catch up with the group in the WhatsApp group chat we made. A PowerPoint got created and everyone had their department and slide. I was responsible for the map design which was inspired by the online game Club Penguin (first picture). I drew it digitally on the iPad, the final outcome being two sketches. One of the maps overall with different categories being different locations such as fashion, technology etc. The second sketch is an example of what such a place could look like when clicked on. There would be a house to illustrate a shop which also has advertising space. So that the whole game can be financed. The advertising space can be rented by either companies advertising or by actual players of replay advertising their own listings so that the chances of selling can be increased.
